Today's song is a chord progression that you've might be heard a lot because, it's used in a lot of songs. It's a chord progress that is used a lot in popular songs including jazz.
The same goes for CCM.

The first two bars are the key chord progression. Proceed to 1-6-2-5 (One-six-two-five, I – VIm – IIm – V). You've heard a lot about 2-5 (two-five, II-m-V), right? It's an extension of that. Because it is in the form of A-A'-A", the chord progression from beginning to end of the song is the same.
