I used to read a novel of “The Pilgrim’s Progress” and get touched a lot by it, but got a chance again to watch again because animated version of it recently came out:)
Even though the book implies more story than movie, I think the movie itself is enough to deliver the message that I want to deliver. For those of you who haven’t read the book yet, I recommend to take some time and read:)
In the middle of movie, the main character, “Chritian”, witnesses the glory of God and there was a heart-blowing background music coming on at the moment, which is this hymn, “Be Thou My Vision”

This song is a hymn poem attached to the tune of traditional Irish folk song. Since it has a vibe of folk song, I made a new intro using pentatonic code:)
I arranged it to “instrumental song” with melody and it will be keyed up from F key to G key.
The song consists of
Intro – First verse – Second verse - Interlude / Key up – Third verse – Bis – Ending.

천로역정은 예전에 책으로 보고 많은 감동을 받았었는데
애니메이션으로도 나와서 또 찾아 보게되었어요 :)
아무래도 책보다는 내용이 많이 함축되었는데
전하고자 하는 메시지는 충분히 전달 되었어요.

영화 가운데 주인공 크리스천이 하나님의 영광을 보는가운데
가슴 벅차게 깔리는 배경음악이 있었는데
그게 바로 이 찬송가 "내 맘의 주여 소망되소서" 였습니다.

찬송 시를 붙인 곡이에요.
민요 풍이라 펜타토닉 코드를 이용해
전주를 새롭게 만들어 봤습니다 :)
멜로디가 포함된 '연주곡'으로 편곡하였고,
F키에서 G키로 키업됩니다.
